The following alert came from the precinct:
“Suspicious Persons/Vehicles”
(area of Fisher Trail, Briarcliff Rd., Oak Grove Rd. and Clairmont Rd.)
The following subjects and vehicle could possibly be related to Burglaries and
Auto Thefts in the mentioned area. Subjects were seen earlier this date on
Fisher Trail, where a stolen vehicle was recovered.
If you see the following vehicle or one that fits the description, please do not
hesitate to dial 911 and report its location and/or direction of travel.
2001 Toyota Corolla, dark blue in color occupied by 2 black males, late teens.
Ways to possibly avoid becoming a victim of Theft:
• Call 911 if a person acting suspicious at that time to report; as well as any
suspicious persons or vehicles circling your community
• It is recommended that you DO NOT confront that person
• Secure your home by engaging locks and alarm systems
• Secure your vehicle at all times; If you have a garage Use It.
• NEVER leave valued items visible in the car, even in your driveway
• Continue to communicate through your Neighborhood Watch program to
keep other alert to suspicious activity

HOUSE CLEANING SCAM
A Tanglewood neighbor was approached by 2 men who knocked on her door and offered to clean the exterior of her house. The cost quoted was $69, but only $39 if she let them put a sign in her yard. She agreed, and they washed the house, doing a poor job of it. They handed her a bill for hundreds of dollars for ‘each $39 gallon of cleaner’ that they claimed to use.
Their purported names are Julian and Joe Serrano and appear to be Italian or Greek and in their mid-40’s. They drive a white panel truck without any identification.
